The Studies on the Effect of Bovin Pancreatic Ribonuclease Chromosome Numbers of Hela Cells

Abstract
Chroniosome numbers have been studied in a Hela cell population sensitive to the inhibitory influences of RNase(strain S3) and in its sub-lines-,r resistant to RNase according to the length of time and the density of concentration, respectively.
It has been found that strain S3 has a stem-line of 59 chromosomes, while the RNase-resistant sub lines of exhibit stem-lines of 56,53 and 50.
The data suggest that RNase "resistancy" in the cell strain and sub-lines is due to subler varj4tion than a net decrease of 3,6 and I9 chromosomes, respectively.
